Let’s combine hula hooping with basic gymnastics! This trick is basically a forward roll while foot hooping. Jon Coyne a.k.a. Hoopsmiles does an excellent job thoroughly explaining all of the elements of this maneuver. He even provides a short troubleshooting section that is sure to make you giggle! I would recommend obtaining a comfortable somersault *without* the hoop before attempting this. You will also want to be a fairly solid foot hooper (check out this foot hooping tutorial for review!) with enough strength to hoop with your foot arched up behind you. This is a super dynamic trick that can be just as much fun for the performer as the audience…have fun!
